We are thrilled to announce that, following our fundraising campaign, we have now obtained all of the funds we need to bring Quarryman back to working order. We would like to thank each and every person who has contributed, whether that be through direct donations on this page or other fundraising activities that have supported the cause.
We have some very special Thank Yous to make in acknowledgement of two particularly significant donations. One being to the Murthwaite Locomotive Group, longtime supporters of Quarryman for many years, who were keen to pledge their support from the beginning of this appeal and who have donated £1000 to the project. Thank you!
The other goes to Maureen Holmes-Higgin and family, who have recently made a significant donation in memory of John Holmes-Higgin. This donation means we have hit our target and can realistically look forward to getting Quarryman back to Ravenglass in time for it’s centenary.
